I was wondering why Recovery got so much hate???
It was a perfect come back album
yes it is modern Eminem not that eminem we used to know
but why did the album got so much hate?

Yeah, maybe Rihanna's name is the main cause... But I liked it, however, I prefer Relapse (with Relapse: Refill too)

It is highly because of the little bandwagon fans (mainly girls) who love LTWYL and Spacebound. For one I don't think they understand the point of LTWYL. But I love it when they say "I love Eminem! He's a poet!" and then you play "Kill You" or "Kim" or "Superman" or "Puke." Shuts them up fast.

Recovery for me was proof that he didn't sell out. I assumed he was reformed after I heard Not Afraid, because it was so different, but Cold Wind Blows proved he's the same old Eminem. He just tried different stuff on there, and used producers other than Dre. So it sounded different. But it wasn't bad. My least favorite track is Wont Back Down but I still jam to it on Black Ops Zombie.

I'm guessing when The Marshall Mathers LP came out it got a bit hate too. A couple of years went by, and now it's one of the best albums ever made. The same thing is happening to Relapse & Recovery. Relapse was hated because it had accents, the album grew on many people. Now Relapse is up there with TSSLP, TMMLP and TES according to some people. Now it's happening to Recovery, it has grown a lot on me actually and I enjoy every song on there like I enjoy every song on TES.
Going Through Changes, On Fire, Space Bound, Seduction, Almost Famous, Cold Wind Blows, Cinderalla Man. Dope shit.

Recovery was great, it just needed a few more beats from Dr Dre, i think.

1. The beats. I don't like these more pop sounding new school hip hop beats. Dr Dre REALLY contributed in making his first albums the success they are. With average sounding and generic beats, no matter how good lyricism, the song just doesnt get catchy.
2. His rapping style has changed. He didnt use an accent but Ems new rap style involves more shouting and mainly fast rapping. I don't know if you've noticed but in his other albums, especially TES, he rapped much slower, and I liked that more.
3. Before, if you were an Em fan, you felt a bit distinguished and "cool" for supporting such a controversial artist. And it also connected us fans. Now all the stupid teenage girls (mainly) after LTWYL have made listening to Eminem "hip" and changed the whole perception about being an eminem fan.
These are the reasons I didn't quite appreciate Recovery. But it's still good and I'm happy for it's success.
