In the future you might be able to. Not only are there drugs currently being made to help you do just that, there is only one thing stopping you from doing that already. A chemical called adenosine.

I suppose it'd be best for people who run businesses or are artists, who work a lot, they'd actually have time to relax, or time to get even more work done. But for regular people, I suppose the extra hours would be boring, unless everyone was awake, because if it was just you, you'd be alone.
