He's one of the best "Mainstream" Rappers and GKMC is a good album I'd give you that but what the fuck do you mean when you say he's our rap savior? Hip Hop has never been dead The Underground still went hard as fuck in the 2000's . He ain't no Rap Savior , the only reason most people think he's great or a fucking rap savior ( He's dope but not a legend yet) is because he does conscious Rap and that's the same reason why Joey Badass is considered dope whereas dude's like K.R.I.T , Action Bronson , Danny Brown , Apathy , Vinnie Paz , Brother Lynch Hung , Mayday etc get left out of that conversation because they don't do conscious rap. All those guys I named are more technical and Skilled then a Kendrick Lamar or a Joey Badass . Bottom line is that K Dot is dope but he isn't as great as people like you make him out to be and GKMC is a good album but you can't consider it a classic when it wasn't even the best rap album of the year . Killer Mike's R.A.P Music >> GKMC . If Mike's album was dropped under Aftermath or a big label people won't dickride GKMC so much .
whatever but it annoyed me everytime people these days come everytime with this "underground is the real deal they all better than mainstream rappers the new hope" talk...
you guys must realize that you make this so called "underground shit" more mainstream than the actually mainstream rap is...
i say kendrick is a rap savior because he's one of this few new "mainstream rappers" they not rap about money, cars and all this shit..
and now thats maybe the good side of mainstream rap because people all around the world can get into it... when they hear kendrick maybe then they realize that there are still good rappers out...
these underground rapper (you named) will never claim to be rap saviors , not because they bad, just because they don't get the attention from the world..
so the best example probably is em he's the best selling artist of all time and he's mainstream but he had always a real message and loved rap since day one, he moves rap to a another level
that's the reason why this "underground" rappers never will be rap saviors (maybe for you they are but for the people not...)
this whole underground talk getting just lame as fuck... since this whole internet and facebook thing blow up all kids these days hate on every artists work and think they are a fucking hip hop brains...
again everyone has the right to share his own opinion and if you belive underground rap is the hope maybe your right maybe not who knows what really counts is you enjoy the music...
peace
